Urban Forest
Innovation Lab

operates in Cuenca. The municipality of Cuenca is the largest forested area in the European Union with more than 53,000 hectares of forests, some of which date back to the 19th century. The forest heritage of the city was created with a royal donation from King Alfonso VIII of Castile in 1177.

The laboratory is located in the Institute of Technology, Construction and Telecommunications of the University of Castilla La Mancha.

The objective of the ITCT is to unite the research activity developed in the UCLM from different technological fields.
This research activity is directly related to the field of UFIL: promoting the intelligent, integrated, sustainable and productive use of the materials provided by Cuenca’s forests.
